Distance: 5.4 km (3.4 miles)

Newgale Sands - Maidenhall Point - St. Brides Bay - Nolten Haven - Madoc’s Haven - Druidstone Beach - Druidstone Hotel

A popular surfing beach and accessible to dogs, this 3km stretch of stoney beach is far more accessible at a lower tide. The cliff top path is reached with an initial steady climb but

the panaoramic views that await across the bay once on high ground, are magnificent. Passing a disused mine, Noltan Sands and its delightful cove suddenly appear from below. A steepish stair-cased decent onto the beach and the awaiting Mariner’s Inn in this quaint village provide a welcome respite.

The shorter stretch of cliff-top path onwards to Druidstone Haven bears witness to the continual erosion of cliff edge with the path regularly rerouted for safety. Passing the eco -friendly Roundhouse on the hillside, and onto the esoteric Druidstone Villa where overnight accommodation and excellent restaurant and bar are available, brings a perfect end to this days walking.
